Determine Weight of Shipment
Rates are based on the total actual weight or the total dimensional weight of all packages in a shipment, whichever is greater. There is no limit on weight or the number of pages that you may enclose in the Nationwide Express Envelope.

How to determine dimensional weight

Shipping charges will be based on the dimensional weight of the shipment when the dimensional weight exceeds the actual weight. Dimensional weight is determined by using the International Air Transport Association (IATA) volumetric standard.

Step 1

Calculate cubic size : Multiply the length by the width and by the height (each rounded up to the nearest whole centimetre) of each package.

Step 2

Determine the dimensional weight : Divide the cubic size of the package by 6000 to determine the dimensional weight in kilograms. Increase fractions of a weight to the next full kilogram. Multiple-piece shipment dimensional weight is the sum of all dimensional weight of all packages within the shipment.

The maximum weight of a package may vary by destination. Call our Customer Service Representative for details.
