 WHAT IS EXPRESS INSURE?
"Extra protection for your shipment"
Express Insure is a new solution offered by Nationwide Express that will provide insurance for your shipment for all risks* during the course of carriage by us. Expess Insure is underwritten by Tahan Insurance.
HOW DO YOU OBTAIN EXPRESS INSURE COVER?
To Express Insure your package, simply complete the section of the consignment note indicating your need to have additional protection. Coverage will be granted provided the shipment's value is between RM200 and RM30,000 and is not any of Express Insure's excluded items list.
WHAT IS THE EXCLUDED ITEMS LIST? - The following items are excluded from coverage :
- Cash
- VCD, DVD, CD, pornographic material
- Live animals, including birds, reptiles and fish
- Animal carcasses
- Human corpses or parts
- Shipments which may cause damage or delay to equipment, personnel or other shipments
- Hazardous materials
- Package / shipments that are wet, leaking or emit odour of any kind
- Mobile phones
- Jewellery, gemstones and precious metals
- Liquor, alcohols and spirits
- Antiques and artwork
Coverage for some of the above packages may be arranged on an ad hoc basis. Contact your Nationwide Express Customer Service representatives for further details.
HOW LONG IS THE COVERAGE PERIOD?
Nationwide Express covers the package from point of collection/receipt by Nationwide Express until delivery to the recipient. The Express Insure coverage expires upon recipient's signature and/or stamp on the proof of delivery form indicating that the goods have been received without loss, damage, shortage, pilfered or any other dispute.
WHAT CONSTITUTES "ALL RISKS"?
Please see Express Insure standard terms and conditions, available at www.nationwide2u.com. Certain risks, including such risks as war, act of terrorism, strikes, rust, oxidisation, bending, chipping, marring or scratching and electronic derangement, unless caused by violent or external means, are not covered.
WHAT SHOULD BE THE VALUE / SUM INSURED TO BE DECLARED?
You are recommended to declare the market value of the goods. In the event of under-declaration, Expres Insure will pay the rateable proportion based on the percentage of under declaration.
